2027 National 4-H Soccer Cup Ignite by 4-H Scholarship Application

APPLICATION DEADLINE: Friday, June 26, 2026

Thanks to the generous support of Ballmer Group, Bayer, Carnegie Corporation of New York, CHS Foundation, Charles Schwab Foundation, Lilly Endowment Inc., and Mars Impact Fund, we are able to offer a limited number of scholarships that cover the full registration fee. The following are eligible to apply:
- Cooperative Extension 4-H soccer teams within land-grant universities (LGUs)
- Cooperative Extension 4-H soccer teams within your local county

This scholarship application is for the National 4-H Soccer Cup. General Ignite scholarship tickets are awarded through a separate application.

General Scholarship Application

Registration includes:

All field costs and game supplies
High-impact programming and speakers featuring national experts and leaders along with opportunities for career exploration, using your voice and building connections with teens from across the country
Room and board (double occupancy for teens, single occupancy for adults) checking in on Tuesday, March 16 and checking out on Sunday, March 21
All meals and breaks
Transportation to and from the hotel to soccer fields
DC-area site visits and program materials

IMPORTANT:

Before applying, please ensure that your team is prepared to be responsible for all travel expenses, including transportation to and from Ignite. Be sure to consult your state program leader regarding any restrictions or requirements that may apply in terms of travel fees and chaperones.
If awarded, you will receive a confirmation email and additional instructions will be sent for registration.
All teens must be accompanied by an adult chaperone.

Key Dates:

Selected teams will be notified by July 26, 2026.
Full roster including guest names and birth dates are due by Friday, November 2, 2026.
Required forms are due by Friday, December 4, 2026.
Team rosters cannot change after February 26, 2027.

Scholarship Application Questions

Please have the team (both youth and adult) applying answer the below questions to be considered for the scholarship. Changes to team members are allowed, but we ask that you try to work with the youth planning to attend.

Describe why you are applying for an Ignite by 4-H scholarship. How will this event contribute to your team’s professional skill development and career exploration? Please share the topic(s) your team is most interested in and why.

Youth should be selected based on demonstrated need and the potential impact of this opportunity. Preference will be given to applicants who may face barriers to participation due to limited access to resources or support. Please describe the needs of the youth on your team and how you believe this scholarship will support their participation and growth through the Ignite experience.

Please share a personal reflection from an individual teen in your delegation describing how 4-H has impacted their life and why they want to attend Ignite.
